Why a ceiling fan
The cheapest comfort you can put in a Northern Beaches home
Aircon is great — until the power bill lands. A modern DC ceiling fan keeps bedrooms and living areas comfortable for cents a day, and helps in winter too.
Cooling for cents an hour
A DC ceiling fan sips 3–30 watts — running one all day costs less than an hour of air-conditioning.
Better sleep in sea air
Gentle continuous airflow keeps bedrooms comfortable through humid Northern Beaches nights, without the aircon hum.
Works with your aircon
Moving air lets you set the aircon 2–3 degrees higher for the same comfort — the fan pays for itself in summer.
Warmer rooms in winter
Reverse mode pushes the warm air pooled at the ceiling back down into the room, so heating works harder for you.

FAQs
Ceiling fan questions, answered
How much does ceiling fan installation cost?
Replacing an existing fan starts from $414 inc GST including the new fan, and installing a fan where there isn't one today starts from $673 inc GST. Outdoor IP-rated fans start from $865. If you've already bought a fan, we fit it from $207 as a like-for-like swap or $396 with new wiring. Every price in the online builder is the full installed price — supply, install and GST.
What's the difference between DC and AC fans?
DC motor fans use up to 70% less power, run quieter, and offer more speeds — most come with remotes and reverse mode as standard. AC fans are simpler and cheaper. Most of our range is DC because the running-cost and noise difference is worth it, but the Bondi and Concept AC are great value where budget leads.
Should I get a fan with a light?
If the fan replaces the room's main light fitting, yes — most models in the builder offer a with-light version for $40–$92 more, usually a dimmable LED. If the room already has good lighting, the no-light version keeps the look cleaner.
Can you install a fan where there's no fan now?
Yes — that's the "new install" option. We run the wiring, fit the switching or remote, and mount the fan. If there's no roof space above the ceiling (a second storey or concrete slab), wiring is chased or fished through, which adds $190 per fan — the builder asks about this so your price is right up front.
Do you install customer-supplied fans?
Happily. A like-for-like swap of your fan is $207, or $396 where new wiring is needed. The fan's warranty stays with your retailer, and our installation workmanship is warranted for life. Note there's a $99 small-job fee on bookings under $300.
Which fans work outdoors near the beach?
Outdoor and coastal spots need an IP-rated fan — we fit the Hunter Pacific Aqua range (IP66 water and dust proof, 52″ and giant 70″ sizes) from $865 installed. Salt air destroys standard fans; if you're within a few streets of the water, go IP-rated even under cover.
How long does installation take?
A straight replacement takes about an hour; a new install with wiring around two. Multiple fans are done in one visit — the builder lets you price up to ten at once.
Is the work certified and warranted?
Every install is done by a licensed electrical contractor (Licence 470836C), tested, and covered by an electrical certificate of compliance. Workmanship is warranted for life, on top of each fan's manufacturer warranty.
